Stacie, Marissa, and Uncle Doug, I am heartbroken. All the memories I have of Auntie Kathy are good ones: her incredible laugh, her support, catching her and my mom sneaking smokes in your kitchen...I can't believe she's gone. I am so sorry for you loss. I wish I could be there, but please know I love you all and you are in my thoughts.
Dear Doug, Stacie and Marissa: I am so saddened and sorry to hear about Kathy's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you three and the rest of the family at this time. May you receive some comfort in knowing that others are thinking of all of you. What a wonderful person Kathy was. She will be greatly missed by many. With love, cousin Aynsley and girls (Alexis and Katelyn) in Kansas.
Words do fail us, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you as well with all family members. May God rest Kathy's blessed soul and provide comfort for you all. Love Peter and Mary
Dearest Doug, Stacie & Marissa, I knew her not very well and for such a short short time, yet my heart ached at just the thought of her absence. Yet as tears flowed while I was driving home today I felt her strong & gentle hand on my shoulder and her whisper in my ear, she said..."it's okay!" ...I'm sending my love and thoughts to you. Heaven has a new star indeed! Please know you are all our family and we are here for you. My deepest sympathy, Nancy
Doug, your crew is here for you and your family. When you need us just say the word. Until then we will keep you close in our hearts and thoughts. Blessings and peace.
Mr. Hoodikoff, Stacie and Marissa, Words are never enough to show how much I care for all of you during this time. I wish that words were adequate enough to dull the hurt, but words are just never enough. I will always remember staying with you in the summer of 03 when my parents were moving out and I had no place...you were all so caring and inviting. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Marissa, I'm here if you need to talk, any time of the day, or night. ~Kori
Dear Doug, Stacie,Marissa, family and friends especially from Campbell River,
I can't remember the exact day that Kathy recovering from surgery was told by more than one person that she should continue to seek ordination as a priest. I now have a strong sense of peace. May her strong faith give you great comfort in your time of sorrow. May your sorrow be turned in to joy in the morning light. God Bless you and keep you, Maggie
Dear Doug, Stacie and Marissa, What a wonderful blessing Kathy was to me - both when we were banking together and then when we served together on the Christian School Board. She regularly used the strong talents God gave her, for the good of others. I'm so glad I was able to chat with her on Monday morning (her good day). Even in her struggle, she was so very gracious. May you be showered with God's peace through this difficult time of sorrow, knowing we are continuing to pray for you. Much love, Brian Driver
WE can't imagine the pain you are feeling right now, but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We have truly been blessed by all the years that Kathy was in our lives.
There are no words. My heart is breaking for you all right now. I miss her already. I wish I could have said "good-bye". I wish I would have seen her more often.
I love you guys and please know that I am here for you and sending so much love and prayers.
God of all consolation, in your unending love and mercy you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life. Show compassion to Doug, Marissa and Stacie in their sorrow. Be their refuge and strength to lift them from the darkness of their grief to the piece and light of your eternal presence. Help all who knew and loved Kathy to entrust her to your tender keeping, and renew their faith and hope daily, that Kathy dwells with you and all your Saints in Light forever. We ask this in the Holy Name of Jesus, our Saviour and Redeemer. AMEN.
